ECC/HANH and The Glendower Group are in the initial stages of developing a strategy and implementation committee for a Transformation Plan. The Transformation Plan will then become the guiding document for the revitalization of the public and/or assisted housing units while simultaneously directing the transformation of the surrounding neighborhood and positive outcomes for families.
The neighborhood most impacted will be the Robert T. Wolfe Development and the underutilized Union Square area and its connections to Downtown and Hill Neighborhood. The plan will seek to revitalize the area, attract investment, and make it a more desirable place to live.
Yes! We want full community engagement to design community investments that work for the neighborhood. Committees are forming now to help guide the Transformation Plan and we will reach out to the public periodically via our social media channels and website. Contact us if you would like to be involved by emailing: unionsquareinfo@elmcitycommunities.org or going to the About Page.
While UnionSquareChoice.com serves as a resource for key information about the project, you can find pictures and updates on Glendower’s social media channels.
